Petri

Petri, a 9-year-old Pekingese/ Terrier mix, desperately needed a dental cleaning. On top of that, he had several teeth that needed to be removed, as well as a small mass in his mouth. Thanks to a dental grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, HPHS was able to contribute to the rest of the bill, and Petri was able to get the surgery needed right away, as recommended by his vet.
Dolly Smiling

Dolly

No one knew how Dolly's story began. When a Good Samaritan brought her to animal control, she was dirty, matted, covered in sores, and had a mouth full of loose and rotting teeth. Uncomfortable doesn't even begin to describe the way this senior pup felt.

Knowing she needed a tremendous amount of care if she was going to get a new beginning, she was transferred to the Connecticut Humane Society (CHS).In the months that followed, CHS saw to her extensive care. Her care was supported by a Grey Muzzle grant made possible by you and carefully staged to help her fragile, tiny body heal.

Booker Outside

Booker

7-year-old Booker arrived as a stray at an Ohio shelter and his people, sadly, never came looking for him. The tough days wandering the streets alone had taken a toll on him. Radiographs disclosed that both bones in one leg were broken and healed misaligned, causing his wrist to roll outward.

Corine

Corine

At 14-years-old, Corine was having a run of hard luck as a stray. That is until she wound up at Foothills Animal Shelter in Colorado. Corine had some evidence of being neglected. Her coat was so matted it was impossible to visualize any of her feet, and the mats were causing her discomfort.  In addition to the matting, several of her teeth were missing, and all the remaining teeth were severely diseased.
