Honor

The team at NMDOG set Honor up with specialists who closely monitor her skin, teeth, and history of cancer. These ongoing needs are costly, but thanks to support from a Grey Muzzle grant made possible by you, Honor is a member of the Home Sanctuary Program. In this program, dogs who don’t qualify for traditional placement are paired with Home Sanctuary Providers as forever fosters.

Louie

Surrendered by his owners for euthanasia, an unnamed blind shih tzu was transported to Carolina Poodle Rescue from a rural shelter. ‘Louie,” as he was appropriately dubbed by his transporter, swayed to the sound of music played during his freedom ride.

Roxy

Ten-year-old Roxy was surrendered to the Sacramento SPCA simply for being “too old.” Life in the shelter was too stressful for her, so she was placed in a foster home where her doting foster mom noticed she had a cough. Chest x-rays revealed a terminal heart condition. With the help of a Grey Muzzle grant, Roxy’s condition is being managed and her quality of life maintained.
