Grey faced Boxer Gordon

Gordon

Though his time with NorCal Boxer Rescue was short, they will never forget Gordon. This sweet, gentle, senior boxer was abandoned by his family in his own backyard. He remained there alone for over two weeks before animal control was contacted and he was picked up. Because they had an open foster home willing to care for this beautiful senior boy, they were able to take Gordon in right away.

Jet

Jet came to CT Humane as part of a collaboration with a local animal control partner who had seized him as part of an  investigation.

The big, fluffy senior boy was in pain – three of his nails were torn (and very sore!) and advanced dental disease made it tough to eat. His senior sister Roxxstar had come in, too – Lyme disease and thyroid issues were among the host of problems CT Humane’s veterinary team discovered.

Scooby

A good Samaritan discovered a paralyzed dog laying in a back patio helplessly barking in Tijuana, Mexico. She posted a video of him covered in flies, laying in the hot sun and unable to move. She spoke with his family and they said Scooby had stopped walking, so they left him outside.

Smokey

Smokey is an 11-year-old rat terrier who made his way to Pets Alive in New York on a transport mission all the way from Louisiana. While Smokey got a lot of tender loving care from volunteers and staff at Pets Alive, he became very depressed, missing his home and family of so many years.
