Oreo is one tough little cookie! This ten-year-old Shih Tzu was straining to urinate for a few days. After she passed a small bladder stone on her own, her family was hopeful her symptoms would resolve. However, soon she stopped eating and drinking and became very lethargic.

Gunner is a ten-year-old beagle mix who was adopted by Knoxville senior, Mr. David, through the Knox PAWS program. Mr. David previously had a long-time Knox PAWS dog who had recently passed away from cancer.

Sweet, ten-year-old Faye found herself at the shelter after her elderly owner fell ill and went into a nursing home. She was not doing well in the shelter environment, so thankfully, ended up in the care of our first-time grantee Get A Bull, Inc.

Louis has been helped by Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS) not once, but twice! Back in 2014, Louis was found as a stray and brought to the shelter. After his stray hold period was over, he was adopted out to a new home.
