Stella & Chewy’s Donates Quality Food to Senior Dogs
At Grey Muzzle, we believe that connections and collaboration will always help more senior dogs in need, so we work hard to provide our grantees with unique opportunities to support their missions. Recently, we were able to connect Stella & Chewy’s with the Thulani Program, run by German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California.
Shy
Shy was anything but. Look at those ears and that tongue! Despite being surrendered to the Humane Society of Warren County (Virginia), Shy was friendly and outgoing. An eight-year-old pit bull type dog, Shy’s owner could no longer care for her and her list of medical needs.
Willie
Eight-year-old Willie found himself at Lionel's Legacy, one of Grey Muzzle's amazing grantees, after his owner could no longer care for him. Willie arrived in need of some care, including dental work and blood tests.
Sarah Colquitt
Lady was such a sweet and loving dog. She was one of the first dogs I was comfortable with because she was so special. I loved seeing her on holidays when we went to Uncle Mel and Aunt Susan's house. She made everyone happy and we will all miss her.
Benson
Hey everyone! My name is Benson and I’m 10 years old. Funny because I don’t feel a day over three! I wanted to share my story with you because my human told me that February is National Pet Dental Health Month and boy, did my teeth need some help!
Survey reports brighter prospects for old dogs seeking new homes
Birdie is one lucky senior dog. Found as a stray, her paws painfully sore from miles of walking, the 7- year-old yellow Labrador retriever was taken in by Safe Harbor Lab Rescue outside of Denver, Colorado. There, she was quickly adopted by a family who preferred an older dog.
Little Bit
At 14 years old, Little Bit found herself abandoned at a city shelter. Terrified and in tough shape, she wanted nothing to do with people, food or other dogs.
Tina Reza
So sweet, so kind, so gentle. Forever in my heart.
Almond
Almond is about 12 years old and was one of 200 evacuees from the terrible floods in South Carolina last fall. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue (BWAR) staff and volunteers helped move cats and dogs from a county shelter to higher ground and Almond caught the eye of founder and president Denise Bitz.
