Spike
Spike is an adorable 10-year-old beagle mix who is gentle and sweet with every person he meets. His human dad had to move into assisted living and could no longer care for Spike. Before he could find a new home, Spike needed some dental work to brighten his smile. Thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, Frederick Friends of Our County Animal Shelter (FFOCAS) got Spike the dental care he needed to make him more comfortable and get him ready to meet to potential adopters.
If you know beagles, Spike is exactly what you’d expect: cheerful, interested in scents, and happy to eat whatever you offer him. He’s sweet and confident when meeting new people and friendly with other dogs. He has a special knack for putting everyone at ease! Spike’s favorite pastimes include following his person around and getting belly rubs. He’s looking for a family that’s committed to giving him lots of love and exercise.
As of our latest update, Spike is visiting with a prospective adopter. [Check out his very content picture laying in the grass!] We look forward to sharing his adventures in his new home!
