Cleo spent almost a decade as a backyard breeding dog, living on a chain. An animal control officer brought her in after her owner agreed it wasn't the best lifestyle for her.
Cleo instantly won our hearts! She LOVES to snuggle and LOVES to play! She is definitely making up for lost time in the cuddle and play departments. She can entertain herself with a jolly ball for hours; you'd never guess her age by the way she plays with toys. She spent some time in a foster home, where she quickly became house-trained and learned some leash manners. She is such a sweet, goofy girl.
She has been with us for about a year now and would love to spend her golden years in a loving adoptive home. Though she is a staff favorite and we enjoy having her around, she deserves a soft place to rest her head.
