Kimmy
Kimmy, a 10-year-old Jack Russell mix, was left at Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Illinois last month when her owner no longer wanted her--with fleas, anemia related to the fleas, an ear infection, an infected toenail, badly worn teeth and very soiled fur. The shelter’s new Grey Muzzle grant helped pay for her medical care. Kimmy has become a favorite of the shelter staff and volunteers. She goes for many walks with volunteers and is an active nursing home visitor. And now she’s ready for her forever home thanks to the great care at Quad City!
March 2011 Update
Kimmy was diagnosed with Glaucoma in February. However, even with her limited eyesight, she found her 'forever' home! She is now living with a senior Lab mix. Quad City tells us. "This is one of our happiest days at the shelter." Thanks for not giving up on Kimmy!
