Shanti Project reduces isolation, enhances health and well-being, and improves quality of life. Their Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS) program provides free comprehensive animal support services that help older adults and adults with illnesses and disabilities care for their animal companions. Dedicated to preserving the human-animal bond, PAWS keeps people and their companion animals together. They believe that no one should have to make the difficult choice of caring for themselves or caring for their beloved companions.
Support from Grey Muzzle will allow PAWS to care for senior dogs in San Francisco and keep them with the humans who love them. Funds will provide preventive care and food, helping dogs like Chauncey stay healthy. By assisting animal guardians who would financially or physically struggle to provide everything their dogs need, this support helps keep senior dogs out of an overburdened shelter system, preserving a bond that enriches the lives of both humans and dogs.
