Humane Society of the New Braunfels AreaFunded in 2024
The Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area is the only open-intake animal shelter serving the City of New Braunfels and Comal County, Texas. The organization cares for about 4,500 pets annually and has rallied community support to save at least 90% of the pets in its care since 2020.
The Grey Muzzle Organization grant will help the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area save at least ten senior dogs who may have been euthanized in previous years due to medical or dental expenses, such as nine-year-old Rosie, whose owner passed away. Shy at first, Rosie quickly warms up to new people, and her affectionate side shines through. She enjoys sunbathing and spending time with her housemates in her foster home.
