Guardian Angel Basset Rescue

Guardian Angel began operations over 27 years ago. From the beginning, we were determined to always provide the necessary quality care for each of the Bassets we took in. We also started with the attitude that if we were going to provide high-quality vet care, we would need to practice constant fundraising. That approach has helped us to gain a very loyal following from our donors and adopters.

A large percentage of our intakes are seniors, and Roscoe is a classic example. At age 12, his owners divorced and neither could take him. GABR immediately agreed to take him and provided all the necessary vet care as he had not seen a vet for over three years. Additionally, surgery was required for the removal of a number of cysts and papillomas – gladly, none were cancerous. As we often find with our senior rescues, surgery was required to remove several teeth. Our grant from Grey Muzzle will allow us to continue providing extensive dental care and surgery where needed. Our seniors will be very grateful for this funding.
