With three pet wellness and adoption centers geographically spread across the state, the Connecticut Humane Society enriches the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education, and prevention of cruelty. CHS' strategic focus areas include animal sheltering, keeping pets in homes, elevating animal welfare statewide, and providing education on the humane treatment of animals.

Grey Muzzle supports the Connecticut Humane Society’s (CHS) efforts to give bright futures to senior dogs in need. Thanks to a generous grant, the young-at-heart pups get lifesaving medical care, behavioral support, safe shelter, and more. The resources ensure they can stay in the home they already know and love if their parent hits a rough patch, or for dogs with truly no place to call their own, find safe shelter and TLC as they await a fresh start. Leveraging CHS’ veterinary team and collaborating with other area veterinarians, animal control agencies and rescues, this program connects elderly, at-risk pups with a safety net to get them on track for a fresh start to a new home or a journey back to the home they already know and love.
